Client: Phelps Creative - I was brought in as the primary photographer to create stills in a larger video campaign for the Panasonic Toughbook. This was a crazy fun project collaborating with the local Brownsburg Fire Department, EMS, Police and Utility crews. The sets were well thought out, talent was spot on and the product was super fun to work with. Working with a mix of professional models and actual fire/police/EMS staff is equally rewarding and challenging. Talking through poses and still vs video expectations is critical and they all knocked it out of the park.Â
The project was 100% out on location and a blend of natural/existing light, constant video light and strobes as necessary. The stills needed to be cohesive with the video, meaning lighting and depth of field needed to match, so some technical hurdles were necessary to keep images sharp as still photography often requires much more light that video. All in all the entire project was amazing. It was a healthy blend of specific client requests and free will to capture as I saw fit and everyone walked away super happy.
